In depth

Curiosity defines nearly every aspect of their personality. They have emotional resilience, independent reasoning, and confidence in their knowledge.

When investing, The Scholar deliberately searches where others are unwilling to look (misunderstood businesses, and situations where sentiment has become excessively pessimistic, etc.). Scholars often do contrarian investing–an investing strategy which consists in going against the crowd. As a result, they sometimes reject good ideas simply because they have become part of collective consensus.
